I began teaching at Grove Public Schools in 2012 as a second grade teacher. This is my 6th year here in Grove.
I began my education career in Pleasanton, Texas as a Teachers Aide at Pleasanton Elementary in the Science Department, while working on my bachelor’s degree. I served in this position for two years. After receiving my degree, I began teaching 4th grade Math and Science at the same campus. I taught 4th grade for 3 years .
I have also had the experience of being a substitute teacher while my children were going through school. I feel all these experiences have helped me to have a well-rounded view of the classroom.
I have been married to Moe Mandrell, whom I met after I came to Oklahoma, for 4 years in December. We have one cat who is the queen of the house.
Moe has two sons, who both live in Callifornia.
My oldest daughter and her husband live in Alaska. They have lived there for 5+ years. They have been married for 2 years in January.
My middle daughter and her husband live in Dallas. They have been married for 9 years. They are the proud parents of our youngest grandson, Asher who is 9 months old.
My son lives in San Antonio and is the proud parent of our oldest grandson, Daylon who is 3.
I have lots of pictures of these wonderful people in my room, to remind me why I do what I do!
My husband is a caretaker of an RV park on Grand Lake, so we enjoy fishing and gardening in our spare time. We both love to read.
Our favorite pastime is traveling to see our children and grandchildren, but we also enjoy traveling to see beautiful beaches and tropical places.
